Things I'm looking forward to in 2011
2011 is shaping up to be a pretty exciting year for me with lots of awesome stuff to look forward to.
First off is my first official holiday of the year, Me, Catey and my parents are taking a three day mini-cruise to Santander. We've booked a first class cabin for our return trip and it looks immense. The Pont Aven is the most luxurious cruise ferry on the English Channel, it will also be our second trip on her, the first being to St Malo for my birthday in 2009.
The following weekend its the annual ED Jedward-Anson Birthday extrav, this year were hoping the venue to be the Actress & Bishop in the Jewellery Quarter with a pre-evening warm up in the bars around Colmore Row.
March sees the arrival of my most anticipated movie of the year, The Battle of LA. Based very loosely on the actual battle of LA in 1949. An alien invasion once again tries to eliminate us all, but this time its from the perspective of soldiers.

Some other movies coming out this year that look pretty awesome include Transformers 3, X-Men Origins:Magneto, Super 8 and Total Recall Reboot and muted for 2012, Independence Day 2 & 3, X-Men First Class & Star Trek 2
There is no easter getaway for me this year as I've gotta save for my summer hols, and what a trip this is gonna be. One week in Orlando followed by a week on the largest ship in the world, The Oasis of the Seas. Were hoping to visit Nassau Bahamas, Phillsburg St Maarten, Charlotte Amalie St Thomas and Fort Lauderdale Florida.

| Balcony Cabin Hopefully with the air miles Me and Catey earn on this trip we should have enough to go away for Christmas & New Year. Were planning to spend Christmas in Boston if Catey can get the time off work, New Years in Vegas and My Dads 60th out in the States too. Still in the early planing stages at the mo but should be lush.       So anyway I have a headache now as I've slept all day with Catey leavig the heating on so im all stuffy inside, but hey ho its off on another night shift i go! |

My first day
So today I've mostly slept due to the large quantity of painkillers I've taken for my back, Thanks Kenny for dropping me on Saturday night!!! I've started this new Blog thing and now I'm going to get ready for the arrival of Catey then off to work!!! Even though I'm on annual leave!!!! I also found some pictures of the brand new plane im going on in the summer to Florida yet again!!!

29th February 1984 to 24th January 2011
The 29th of February 1984, a leap year, Relax by Frankie goes to Hollywood is at number 1, Canadian PM Pierre Elliott Trudeau announced he is stepping down, Maggie Thatcher is PM and Ronald Regan President. Its a Wednesday, Jill & Phill Anson drive to The Victoria Hospital in Lichfield to have their second son Michael James Anson.
I Grew up on the Boley Park estate in Lichfield with my older brother Timothy Philip Anson and later my younger sister Jessica Louise Anson. I attended Scotch Orchard Primary School where i first met many of my still be friends. Many of my obsessions began at this school, my hate of sports especially football, my love of ships, especially the Titanic and my obsessions with holidays.
Every year we enjoyed a family holiday to destinations such as Lanzarote, Menorca, Portugal and Spain, all that changed with the arrival of the caravan!!! Year after year we caravanned in France until 1997, these trips sparked many more obsessions, including Ferries & Canoeing. In October 1996 i discovered a letter in the kitchen from Virgin Holidays, i opened it and discovered my parents had booked a trip for us all to Florida for April 8th 1997. So sparked my next obsession, the USA.
In 1995 i started High School, Netherstowe High School, here i met most of my best friends David Stokes, David Kitchen, Freya Reid, Richard Wiggett, Jenny Curtis to name a few. I started high school a bit of a dumbass! But by the time i left i had 11 GCSE's & 4 A-Levels with a confirmed offer to study Biomedical Sciences at Lancaster University. During my time at Netherstowe i developed an interest in the sciences and aviation, i read my first book! 1984 by George Orwell, which remains my favorite. I travelled with my family to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, Naples Florida and with Scouts Cyprus. During my time in school i had many part-time jobs from simple paper boy, to shop assistant and waiter, i even worked in a curtain rail factory for about a week!
I spent my final summer before attending University with my close friend in the Greek resort of Faliraki, an interesting experience to say the least, all i can say is Twig a beat you at the bungee run and i still think Stokes doesn't forgive me for the aftersun incident. And so to the next stage in my life, University.
I moved to Lancaster in 2002 to Study Biological Sciences with Biomedicine and minor in Geography. I lived in Flookburgh block, part of Carmel College. Most of my first year is a bit of a blur, but i do remember some awesome times with Guy Dixon, Robert Fentem, Christopher Hatt, Adam Boyns & Adam Bishop. For Easter 2003 i travelled back to Uni a week early to catchup with some work, during this time i noticed someone was watching me from the third floor of my block. It turned out to be Catherine Luff.
In my second year i moved into a flat in Lancaster with Rob, Hatt and Andy, it was the worst flat in history, but it was behind a Chinese and next to walkabout, what more do you need as a student. Cate became my girlfriend. I Holidayed in Cyprus with Kitch in the summer and me and Cate booked our first holiday together, Florida.
Our Fist holiday together in Orlando was awesome, i had taken a part time job at Good Hope Hospital as an auxiliary Nurse to pay for it and Cate worked at NHS Direct. We did all the usual Orlando stuff and then got stranded by a Hurricane! We returned safely two days late for Uni and moved into our brand new halls of residence. I studied in my final year towards my dissertation; The effects of BCR-ABL PKC on haemopoitic progenitor calls in chronic myeloid leukaemia, we both graduated and moved home, a little fatter!
After graduating i had hoped to train as a Dr and Cate a nurse, ultimately we both trained as Registered Nurse at UCE in Birmingham. Just after New years 2006 me and Cate moved into our first flat, in Edgbaston. Cate continued working part time for NHS Direct and i started working in a call centre for Primecare Forensics. We claimed our first Cat, Sebastian after a few months in Spire Court. We holidayed in Lanzarote, Amsterdam, Bruges, Cyprus And Fuertaventura and i Qualified as a Staff Nurse in 2008, my first post, a respiratory ward at Selly Oak Hospital. After six months on S5 i moved to A & E, Cate Qualified and started work in the childrens hospital. Later that year we moved to our second flat, in Harborne.
In 2008 i proposed to Cate, we married in 2009. Our honeymoon to the west coast of the USA, was delayed by a detour to Iceland due to a heart attack, but we got compensation in the form of a free holiday to Boston. We travelled to Florida again in 2009 as well as Normandy with Cates parents, Pam and Mark.
2010 saw the arrival of our second Cat Lilly, Holidays to Paris, Cyprus, St Malo and Boston. I Moved to the new QE hospital in Birmingham. Cate continues to work at BCH
And so here we are up-to-date!!!

Welcome
Time for me to jump on yet another bandwagon! From now on not only will i bore you all with my ramblings in real life, but i will also be doing so online! So lets start with a little catchup from 1984 to 2011!!!!
